Settle is a Market Town located on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Settle provides a centre for goods and services to a much larger population with many outlying villages having Settle as their nearest town. Settle also has many tourists and day visitors, particularly in the summer. There are a number of large camping and caravan grounds nearby and the area is very popular with walkers, cyclists and outdoor pursuits.
REMINDER that the site is closed to all walkers and climbers. Please do not access the site whilst building works are being carried out by the 1st Castleberg Scout Group to create disabled access to their Drill Hall.
The Annual Parish Meeting is taking place at St. John's Methodist Church. Refreshments will be served beforehand from 5.30pm.
Settle Town Council is required to set a budget for each financial year, and it is this budget that determines the local council element of your Council Tax Bill. The amount varies by the Council Tax Band of your home. The Council has set a precept for 2024/25 of £142.120,
