Meetings

All Full Council meetings usually start at 7:00 p.m and will be held in Settle Town Hall BD24 9EJ.  Please email the Clerk at - clerk@settletowncouncil.gov.uk for further details & to be added to the attendees list. 

All Full Council and Committee meetings of Settle Town Council are open to members of the public.  

Committees

The council has four committees. Each committee normally meets quarterly each fiscal year. All councillors are members on each of the committees. Agendas and minutes and terms of reference for each of the committees (and the full council) can be found by clicking on the committee names below.

The council has Alloments Commitee, Administration Finance and Staffing, Planning and Environment (Recreation and open spaces) and Market and Services (Cemetery & Street Lighting)  

Full Council

Meetings are attended by all members of the Council and are held on the first Monday of the month. Meetings are being held at Settle Town Hall. BD24 9EJ. Email clerk@settletowncouncil.gov.uk for further details.

Administration, Finance and Staffing

Meetings are attended by all members of the Council and are held at minimum twice a year or as agreed by Full Council Resolution.

Allotments

Meetings are attended by at least 3 councillors of the Council and are held at minimum twice a year or as agreed by Full Council Resolution.

Markets and Services

Meetings must be attended by at least 3 councillors and other members of market staff and representatives. They are held at minimum twice a year or as agreed by Full Council Resolution.

Planning and Environment

Meetings must be attended by at least 3 councillors plus other representatives. They are held at minimum twice a year or as agreed by Full Council Resolution.

*Please note that dates and times can change and, occasionally, a meeting may be cancelled or rescheduled. Agendas are usually available three working days ahead of each meeting. Minutes of meetings are produced in draft format as soon as possible following the meeting.

**Please note that minutes are not regarded as a true and correct record until they have been accepted and approved at the following meeting of each Committee and subsequently by Full Council. The draft minutes available on the website will not include any items which were dealt with in private session, with press and members of the public excluded.
